Community Collaborative
This is our decision-making body and the core place to shape the culture, practices and priorities for Sankofa Village Arkansas. We practice cultures of care and democracy. This space has been held since July 2021.
*You identify as Black
*You live in, or have roots in Arkansas, preference for current residents
5-7 hours per month, including monthly 1.5hr meeting
$50 stipend per month after 3-month consideration period
Project Pods
This is a new space, welcoming in new energy, excitement and expertise. Each project pod will have a specific area of focus and a time-bound project to focus on. As projects complete project pods may hibernate, or find another project focus.

We recognize that passion does not always correspond with capacity. This is an avenue for people with expertise to share but would prefer to support on an as needed basis for brief consultations.

Sankofa Village AR is a young collective and we are actively researching grants and sustainable income streams to make more stipends available. We hope to compensate every Black person engaged in the Mobilizing People matrix. We are appreciative to all who contribute to our work.
